| I love having the dressform. The only negative thing I could say is that it is easily toppled, but I can remedy that with some sand bags if necessary. Other then that, I love it. It helps to be able to see how a fabric will drape on "me" before I make something. | |||

Lightning fast delivery by Sewvac Direct; the staff was very helpful, professional, and pleasant regarding phone inquiries. Excellent product. I have wanted a dressform for many years, but didn't want to spend much money and was afraid that the ones I could afford were too cheaply made.. I had made a dressform using duct tape but had a very hard time creating a stand for it, not too mention, using it for pants. The Dritz model was affordable and is good quality. The option to set it up (easily) for pants vs. skirts/dresses makes this a great product. Easy to dial for my size. Sturdy stand. Easy to put together straight out of the box. Within 1 hour after receiving it, I was able to use it to alter a pair of store-bought pants that were too large for me, but wanted to wear that evening... Using it to alter clothes will be something I will need to do repeatedly having lost a fair amount of weight. So this product will pay for itself in short time. I am so well pleased. |

| After several attempts at fitting the back of my jacket, only to tear out and resew over and over, I decided it was finally time to get a dress form. The Dritz My Double Deluxe appealed to me because "she" has the offset pole enabling me to alter pants as well as skirts. She also worked well with my measurements. She arrived in good time in perfect condition. Setting her up to mimic my measurements was rather simple. Being long-waisted, I only wish I could stretch her a little farther vertically. It's at the max now. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are two choices for the pole location: in the center, as with a traditional dress form, or offset for pants. For now I have it centered, just because she may be more stable, until I need her again. I will use the other if I need to for pants. I was immediately able to finish my jacket once and for all. | |||

| I couldn't believe how quickly my order was delivered and the dress form is exactly what they said. I've been able to adjust it to my size exactly and the instructions with it on how to adjust with padding, in those "unique" places, was great! Thanks! | |||

| Ordered on Monday - received on Friday, in excellent condition: great service. I'm calling her Mia. Based on all the reviews I've read about dressforms, I was pleasantly suprised at how solid and study this one is. The pole can be set up centered or offset for pants. The first thing I did was to 'fatten' her up to my size, which is at the far end of her capabilities, but she is still stable. The dials are easy to adjust and I don't see any negative issues with her. I still have some customizing to do (thanks for the great suggestions in the other reviews) but I'm pleased with my decisions re: where and what to buy. Thank you SewVacDirect! | |||

| Was more than pleasantly surprised to find the dressform to be much more stable than others had reviewed. The "feet" are actual metal bars, not pieces of plastic. As far as tipping over, you could knock over a vase, a coat rack, a plant, even a chair if you ran into it but I see no problem This was purchased as it's the only one I could find that had the ability to fit slacks and was actually advertised as such. There is a large cutout at the base of the torso to allow you to adjust crotch depth The little handbook offers no suggestions however. It took me a long time to figure out how to fit them onto the form since the form had a pole running up, what would be, one leg of the slacks. My solution was to staystitch the muslin waist, sew the fronts and backs together as well as both sides but to leave the inside seam unsewn before fitting it onto the dressform. This way I could adjust the crotch depth by pinning it first until I was satisfied then by carefully removing the pins and replacing them with a chalk line marking the actual stitch line. Not sure why you would need to do any more as this will allow you to get the hip, thigh and crotch to fit the way you like. You can hem them to the length of your favorite slacks and that would not require a dressform. | |||

I received my "Dritz My double Deluxe form - Medium", via standard shipping, three days after I placed my order. The form arrived in excellent condition. I will definitely place future orders with SewVac Direct. They are efficient and professional. Regarding the form itself, it is a best buy. I had bought the small & the large Dritz dress forms 25 years ago, which I continue to use extensively. They are very durable, and have remained in excellent condition even though they are 25 years old. I like the vertical adjustment dials that the Dritz forms have as compared to the flat rotary ones. The Dritz dress forms adjusts nicely through those vertical dials, but one must be gentle when turning them. Occasionally, the dial's teeth may catch on the little plastic rectangular plates in which they are encased, when the form is expanded close to is max. This is easily resolved by pushing the rectangle back a little bit while turning the dial. P.S. For all the ladies who sew. Following is a tip on how to make your dress form match exactly your body. Use quilt batting and underneath polyfil, to add rounded or high hips, to compensate for a round back, a larger tommy area, etc. You may want to put on the dress form one of your bras, then stuff the bra with polyfil, if your bust is larger than the dress form's. Most important, go to a pharmacy, and buy three feet of #10 elastic body net bandage (it is circular like a long elastic stocking, about 4 inches wide, and it expands to fit any size body, and is sold by the foot). Put it over the form. It will mold around the neck, and the full length of the dress form. This "body net" will hold wonderfully the batting, and you can this way stuff the areas of the form that need to be increased to duplicate your own body. If you want, you may even put a second "body net" on top of the first. The finish will then look fantastic! Using this body stocking you will no longer need to sew a muslin to cover your personalized body form. The advantage is that if you loose or gain weight, you can still use the dials to make the dress form smaller or larger under the padding without necessarily adding or taking out any of the padding on the dress form. Moreover, If you need to adjust your dress form to conform to your unique body, I recommend the paperback book "Fitting your Figure" from Threads, ISBN 1-56158-083-X. It is a MUST for making step by step adjustments to your dress form to fit exactly your body. It also shows you how to construct a muslin cover for your padded dress form, should you wish to do so. SewVac Direct, thank you for your excellent service! |

| I have not really used the dress for yet. I am just now preparing the form for use. It seems to be fine. I would prefer the model with the flat dials instead of the vertical one that stick out some and has to be turned up and down, they are hard for me to use. This looks to be a very nice piece otherwise. You were very prompt in getting to me. Thank you. | |||

| As a home sewer fitting mostly for myself, I found the dress form to be very satisfactory. I would be concerned about the plastic size adjustments if I had to change them often. I would also like to see a dress form that had an adjustment to compensate for slopeing shoulders. Excellent service from Sew Vac Direct and a good value for the money spent. | |||
