| I received my machine and it was everything I expected. I was able to thread it and use it after reading the instruction video. I would have preferred a live instructional video, but these instructions are very clear. Now there is nothing I can't sew! | |||

| For a 5 thread serger, this machine is amazing!!! I have been able to master threading which took some time but was worth it. For the money it was the best spent. I have started a small business making children's clothing and what a difference it makes. Having the Cover stitch option is worth the upgrade to a 5 thread. I know a lot of people are intimidated by threading a serger, but it is very easy once you understand how it works. There was a lot of trial and error; but I found the DVD & handbook very helpful!! | I have to say this serger is fantastic and I can not believe I bought it for less than $500. Granted it does not have the self threading loopers as Babylock's $2-4k machines but it is easy enough to learn to set it up. Having previously owned a 5 thread Elna Pro5 I was well aware of problems that can be encountered with threading. If one just reads the directions, follows the pictures and the color codes the threading will become second nature. I love the triple thread cover stitch for its finishing capabilities on knits. The fact I received 6 additional presser feet really sweetned this deal. I highly recommend this serger but remember patience is needed. There is a learning curve to acquiring sewing skills and machine awareness. | |||

Product arrived (with some delay at UPS due to Hurricane Irene...NOT your fault!) as promised. CD helped with threading. The following is something I think you might want to address with Singer, is that they also provide a CD-ROM with instructions/demonstrations on how to set up the machine and thread it, since it is quite complicated for the novice overlock user. (It took me 5 hours to thread and troubleshoot it until I got it right.) It might also be helpful for them to show how to start sewing overlock stitches on chiffon fabrics, which can be difficult to start (as I discovered). The machine performs beautifully! |

| Thanks to the detailed instruction manual provided on the CD, this serger novice has become quite capable with this machine. If you have never used a serger before, do not rely solely on the printed instruction manual included as it is more of a "quick start" guide for those who have some experience with sergers. I have only begun to explore all the possibilities, but so far I am very pleased with this machine, and looking forward to many wonderful projects I plan to create on it. Even had my 10 year old grandson serging on it like a pro in no time!! | |||

| I received my serger and was so excited to use it for the first time. This is my first serger and I have never used one before. I researched the many serger choices there are these days and the Singer Pro was always the first on my list. The features (cover hem stitch, chain stitch, etc.), the extra feet, and the 25 year warranty (on the machine head), also Singer's reputation sold me. Now all I had to do was to talk my husband into it! Thank God he said yes. I have to admit that this serger is intimidating, like I said, it is my first one, but the instructions are great. It comes with a CD that is very detailed about each stitch, all the settings for the stitch, how to thread each part, etc. It also comes with a small book that has good instructions, but the CD (which you can print out from your computer) is the better of the two. It came threaded for a three needle cover stitch with a sample (looked perfect). I threaded it in just a few minutes for the three thread overcast and it did a wonderful job. I could not be more pleased with my serger. Also SewVacDirect had the BEST price anywhere, shipping was FREE, and it was at my door within 5 business days. | |||

| First time owning a serger. I was so happy when I received this serger. The shipping was fast. The serger came in its original box. I really like the quality and design of this serger. I haven't gotten a chance to study the user guide yet but this serger came with the dvd manual. Will buy more from Sew Vac Direct. | |||

| the machine is great , except it came threaded to do a hem stitch on knit. i had trouble getting threaded but now it is o.k. I did not receive the needle set in my parts package, will you take care of this. do i need to write to singer? | |||

| This is a great machine!! Easy to use and so many extra features. Someone said difficult to use or understand? NOT this machine is absolutely the best buy for a professional serger. I have had mine for 4 years now and wouldn't know what to do without it. Read the book and very easy to self teach. All color coded and needle placement easy too! | |||

| When I order this machince I was afraid I would not be able to use it, even though I already own a serger, but I was looking for a serger with the cover stitch. I read the manuel from top to bottom, very easy to operate. It is all that I wanted and more. Love it so much planning to buy another one for my daughter.. I am very pleased. | We found the FIVE spindle serger difficult to operate and to understand the instructions. We RETURNED the machine for a refund, which we received. Thank you for the opportunity to try the machine. My wife bought a less expensive FOUR spindle machine which served her purpose. Bill | |||
